Previously known nearly exclusively for the famed golden elixir known as Tokaji Eszencia, Hungary actually has a lot more to offer in terms of vinous libations. The country’s rich and prestigious history of winemaking is seeing a renaissance, with fascinating, world-class (and, for now, we’d argue super undervalued) styles and varieties proudly making their way into the American market. From “Bull’s Blood” to dry Furmint to the wacky likes of blue-stemmed Kéknyelű, we’re stoked to showcase the wild history of Hungarian wine while drinking some of our current favorites. - $15
